The Chicago Public Education Fund
Maureen and Matt partnered while Matt was COO at The Chicago Public Education Fund on the design and implementation of a detailed thought leadership and media strategy for the rollout of The Fund’s new comprehensive report on Chicago’s public school principals, “Disappearing School Principals and Chicago’s Fight to Keep Them.” The report emphasized an urgent education policy challenge confronting Chicago, but also a recent strategic shift in The Fund’s focus, from education reform to principal quality.
In support of that mission, Maureen supported the team designing and producing the report, securing a sold-out speech by the CEO at the City Club of Chicago, and helped generate extensive media coverage, including an editorial in the Chicago Tribune and placements in the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago’s WTTW-TV. The following year, Maureen performed similar work to introduce The Fund’s next school leadership report, “The Right Match: A Strong Principal in Every Public School.”
